Powers

Application of Power can make a thing rise. Indeed, the use of power makes sense. It gives simplicity in our attempt to represent numbers. It leads to achievement of mathematical solutions very easily and quickly.

A number is given a power when it is needed. It can be said that the number has been raised to a numeric value. Any number that is given power as '0' is equal to '1'. In Mathematics '2' to the power '4' means that the number '2' must be multiplied by itself '4' times. This is written as 2^4 , or 2 × 2 × 2 × 2, which equals 16.

With a power a number becomes more powerful. Power is a type of qualification for a number. The task of writing numbers has simplified and become easy with the Power concept.

Large numbers are difficult to write. Another point is that such numbers are difficult to read. The  Power concept is really very helpful. Large numbers can be easily managed. They become  easy to handle.

10^3 = 1 Kilo

10^6 = 1 Mega

10^9 = 1 Giga

10^12 = 1 Tera

Certain mathematical concepts are based on powers.  As for example Logarithms use powers. Binomial Theorem too uses powers.

Use of powers has given a rich meaning to Mathematics. Interesting frontiers have opened before us. Powers enable us to visualise more easily. Indeed the use of powers has  delighted a world that prides itself in convenience.

It can be said that if the concept of power is used, the problem has some substance.

Powers tease our minds. Thus, they are our friends that make us  problem solvers.
